About Anneline Sophia
Growing up in South-Africa I’ve been always been surrounded by the most beautiful flowers, colours and nature and so I’ve always had a love of florals, pattern and bold, vibrant colour palettes. I have been living in England for the past 13 years. I love to travel and my travels through Britian; Europe; America (including Hawaii); Canada and Africa have all influenced my love of flowers and bold use of colour that can be seen in my designs.
I believe that anything is possible and that everything happens for a reason but you can make things happen. I am doing exactly that by pursuing my dreams. I have previously taken a course at Central Saint Martin called ‘Photoshop for Textile Design’ which only served to spur me on to really get to grips with Photoshop and Illustrator and to develop my design style. I have completed the wonderful course The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design in October 2012.
Most of my designs are hand illustrated with fine liners to maintain my loose illustrative style and then they are digitally manipulated and coloured. I like to use bold, eye-catching colour palettes to make my designs modern, fun and exciting.
We live in a big Victorian house in an English seaside town. The house needs a lot of work but I see it as another opportunity to live out my creativity and create a beautiful home filled with colour and pattern for me, hubby and our baby girl. When I’m not designing and decorating, I love to travel, sew, go for walks along the seafront or in the local woods, bake or tinker in our garden.
